Here are just a few of the many logos that I have created. Most have been created while working aboard MCB Quantico. Much of my older work has been lost due to computer crashes and just lost over time. Everything was created in Adobe Illustrator and or Photoshop.
Created this logo Natural Recourses. They wanted to cover wildlife, water and forestry aboard MCB Quantico.
100 year logo for Quantico. Used the Iwo Jima statue that is at the front gate as the main focal point for the theme.
Tough mudder team shirt design with the “Be More” theme.
Created this logo for MCAF to celebrate their aviation history. Hand drew a custom eagle for the center focal point of the logo.
I was approached by the Base Commanding Officer wanting a new logo for the base to incorporate the age of the base. I researched what EGA was being used by the Marine Corps in 1918. I found a letter from General Lejeune from 1918 talking about the creation of Quantico that had a similar emblem at the top of the letterhead. I redrew the emblem to resemble it.
Here are a few of the more recent design that I have created for various customers. As with most of my projects I usually have within a 10 work day turnaround to complete most jobs. This depends on how fast the customer can get back to me after the initial review of the first draft I create.
I am a graphic artist first and foremost. When I came to work at the graphic section on Marine Corps Base Quantico, I didn’t know anything about 3d except how to spell it. I took one crash course in Maya and the rest I learned on my own through books and online tutorials. With creating various files in 3D I also have to cut many of the files that I create on a CNC router which I also had to learn from scratch on my own without any formal training. You can see some of that work that I created on the ROUTING page.
I do all of my routing in a Gerber 404 Sabre router. I use several programs to cut different materials depending on what I am producing. All of the 2D files are initially created with Maya and exported as SVG files. It took a long time to learn the best bits to use for each specific product I am making but I think I figured it out.
Most of the material I use to cut is High Density Routing Foam. Sometimes I use wood or Plexiglass but not as often. Detail varies depending on the project size and time for completing it. If I don’t have a lot of time to add all of the extreme details in the 3D phase, I will sometimes “rough” the shape in Maya and after it is cut I will add details by hand using sculpting tools.
Casting and Molding is something that I have gotten into fairly recently. It is a
